Dr. Odell Wannie Kumeh

Dr. Odell Kumeh is a physician who was trained in Liberia at the A.M. Dogliotti College of Medicine, University of Liberia. She served as County Health Officer in Maryland County, Liberia, from 2009 to 2015.  She was later appointed as County Health Officer for Bomi County, Liberia, in November 2015, a post she held until August 2016, when she traveled to the United States where she obtained her Master of Science Degree in Global Health Delivery from the Harvard Medical School’s Department of Global Health and Social Medicine, on May 22, 2018.  Upon her return to Liberia, she was assigned to the College of Health Sciences, University of Liberia, where she serves as Coordinator of Teaching and Learning.  She is an adjunct faculty at Dogliotti, her alma mater, where she also teaches Year V Primary Health Care and Global Health, Public Health courses, At the School of Public Health of the University of Liberia. She is Director of Public Health Seminar (PHLT 511) and is also an instructor.

Dr. Kumeh has also attended several trainings/workshops, including:  Maternal and Child Health, Infectious Disease Management, Surveillance and Policy.  She carries out Health Sector Planning, Intensive training on quality control, quality assurance, control of infectious diseases, and Healthcare Management.
