Dr. Matthew N. Nimpson

Dr. Matthew N. Nimpson is a retired medical doctor of the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare of the Republic of Liberia (R.L).  He presently resides in Frederick, Maryland, where he is the Manager of the Citizenship Integrated Services (CIS) at the Asian American Center of Frederick (AACF), a Nonprofit Organization.  In this present capacity, Dr. Nimpson assists hundreds of vulnerable but eligible immigrants apply for US Citizenship, renewal or replacement of their Green Cards, and he also coordinates referrals to various immigration law offices for other legal immigration concerns.  Before fleeing the Liberian Civil War in the early 1990s, Dr. Nimpson served in the following capacities in his native country:  Deputy Chief Medical officer for Curative Services, Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, R.L.; The first Director of the National AIDS Prevention Program, R.L; The First Physician and Medical Director of Redemption Hospital, Borough of New Kru Town, Monrovia, R.L.; Physician at the National Family Planning Center, Monrovia, R.L. and National Medical Coordinator for the Delivery of Healthcare Services to displaced people in Liberia, during the Liberian Civil War.

Dr. Nimpson obtained his medical degree at the Maxim Gorky Medical Institute in Donetsk, Ukraine. He participated in several medical seminars and workshops in HIV prevention and other medical disciplines at Morehouse Medical School, Atlanta, Georgia; Lusaka, Zambia; Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo; and Maseru, Lesotho.  He also participated in an international conference and seminar on Natural Family Planning in Paris, France.
