Juala Smythe is an Attorney, Entrepreneur, and bestselling author who was born in Liberia and currently lives in Charlotte, North Carolina. Juala graduated from Allen University in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Science. Following college, she attended Massachusetts School of Law, graduating with the degree of Juris Doctor in 2010.
Following her admission to the Massachusetts bar in 2010, Juala worked as a Research Attorney for one of the nation’s largest non-profit consumer law center focusing on regulatory issues facing the financial industry. Juala later became In-house Counsel for one of the world’s largest banks with a focus on regulatory compliance.
Juala has also authored several fiction novels and is the co-owner of a small publishing company. In 2015 she was honored as one of the “50 Greatest Authors You Should Be Reading.”
